To my last visit that Tuesday at 3:00pm…I make my way to the Economy Guesthouse in Scarborough, which is a borough within the city of Toronto about an hour and 15 minutes from the downtown core. Ken, the owner of the guesthouse is located in a quiet neighborhood, just off Kennedy Road and south of Lawrence. You’ll find yourself within walking distance of malls, fast foods, clubs and retail outlets. Now, if your coming in later than expected that you will need to inform Ken so that he can give you a code to pick up your keys via a lock box attached to the house. This very generous idea and keeps him from having to stay up late at night. There are no ensuite available so be ready to share with guest on your floor.
Looking for a quiet spot, comfortable stay in a clean room and privacy then you’re looking at Economy Guesthouse whom have a very open kitchen concept, access to the internet and if you’re driving just inform Ken because the parking is limited. The Economy Guesthouse is only 7minutes from Highway 401 at the Kennedy Road exit, so it’s a great place to be if you want to be out of the downtown core, but still have a quick access to it. Also, because of this location you will get to know the city by using the local transit system. If you desire to rent a car then Ken can help you with that too. The internet is FREE, so if you’re looking for routes to travel then just check it out on the net.
Check out the special offers by the Economy Guesthouse because your length of stay will determine your rate. So, if you want to save money and will sacrifice the room service then your option is a Guesthouse and you’re encouraged to stay several nights. Also, there will be FREE calls within North America, so call home and let friends and family know that you’ve arrived safely. Small groups are accepted here, but no more than 14 since it is a guesthouse in one building. You’ve got laundry to do, well a couple of loonies to dry and FREE to wash.
With an open back yard, Ken and his wife will be looking to create a landscaped environment for next summer, but for now you can go outside and sit back, have a cigarette, read a book and relax. If you’ve enjoyed your stay or not, please give Ken some feedback because Economy Guesthouse wants to serve your needs.
