My Thoughts

I take a look and it’s still raining but we’re going to make the most if it today on Thursday October 19th, 2006.

My next appointment is with Scott Stewart of the HilIhurst Inn and I appreciate that he’s been very flexible regarding our schedule. I rush over from the house to the bus station which is 3 minutes away, once I state to the driver that I’m coming I just have to check my ticket and he seems to be in a funny mood telling me that’s he’s leaving, but I just laugh him off. I go inside and if you’re traveling to the PEI, just know that your going to be reqired to pay a fee to cross the bridge, it’s nothing much…probably about $2.10. I probably not hiding it well, but my face looks like I’m in a rush and the elder ahead of me said the bus wasn’t going to leave because it would mean that it would be such bad business and we laughed about but the ticket lady didn’t think it was so funny. Anyways, we both got on the bus and it was onwards to PEI and I was just waiting to get my opportunity to go over the bridge and to see the demonstration of power once glaring over the ocean. The engineering involved is just remarkable, we must hav been on the bridge for at least five minutes. Watching the waves dip in and out of each other crashing, sliding and mesmerizing me. The bus dropped us all at the terminal which is literally just in front of Prince Edward Island University so I got some directons to see Scott Stewart at Hillhurst. With no money in my pocket, I walk in the rain for about ½ hour till I reach a street full of bed and breakfasts. No, I’m joking around money is in my pocket but it’s one of those times I want to walk in the rain and take my time to take in some of the city knowing that I won’t be here too long. I call and and Scott knows that I’m in the area then I enter into this historical building that is home to travelers from all around the world. Has you enter, the first thing you notice is the antiques that shows off the history of this structure. The woodwork will have you droop, the paintings make you think that your at Soethby’s…can’t even spell it, but you know what I mean the auction house. And this is where you eat, sleep, laugh…whooo, no playing unless your open to a game of chess in the lounge area in some very comfortable seating. All of the rooms are ensuite..well except one, but you’ll have more than enough room for you not to be crashing into each other, but hold your partner and daydream for a while…I guess some of you didn’t know that I was a romantic, oh yesss! In a place like this you’re definitely feeling like a king and/or queen. Even to the way I was served tea and some coffee cake I guess you’ve realized I’m use to, ‘hey it on the top shelf and get me some too’….lol. Seriously, this is a place can be your little luxury for has long as you’d like and credit cards are accepted. When you talk to Scott, he’ll share with you some of his experience to some of the parks and many of the evernt s in the area. Yes, he’s well connected to what’s going on in Prince Edward Island and will make sure that you enjoy your time. We discussed that it’ll also be advantagouos for him to mention on his site. Too bad I’m not staying tonight because there a Led Zepplin special tonite, well I’m gong to have to make another trip out here. Just not enough time but for all you traveling the maritimes is filled with fun, excitement, pride and friendliness…everyone would like to show you how beautiful these places are…that’s if your open to having fun. Not big enough for a large group, but if there’s six of you then you’ll be tickled. And that’s before you take advantage of the Hillhurst honour system bar, that’s right put your money in the box and sip some wine with your partner tonight.
