I got into Austin with my backpack and hung out for awhile in a very comfortable setting. After my many hours of traveling, I was able to get the advice from management, where I could get me some dinner for the night and it was suggested that it would be Indonesian with the Java Noodles and ummmm….it was so good. The next morning I treated myself to breakfast at the Magnolia Cafes and ate the Love Migas…what else would you expect from me…lol. What a artful and musically pictureistic spread of people, culture and food. The next morning after eating, meeting and seeing some of the sites...my mind was just running on the river behind the hostel and how i'd love to be able to go rowing and to see if i could find a partner. Well, I didn't find a partner for that but i did find one for hitting the town and enjoying the night. In the things to do section enjoy the picture from the pier...I found it to actually be romantic, now they just need a couple of private rooms :)...Later that night I had met some people at the hostel that dared to go out with me and enjoy some jazz at the Continental Club and we were treated to a benefit concert downstairs and then upstairs we heard a trio. I didn’t get to meet the owner but I did meet Kate on his behalf that was very accommodating and made sure I had any necessary information for me to learn more about this Austin landmark. No matter where you go here in Austin, there’s music ALL OVER and for me the capitals of the music scene is Seattle and Austin.
